If this is an accepted way to get a snake eating I've totally missed that one! LOL I have heard of dipping an f/t rodent in chicken broth, though I've never tried it myself but soaking the snake itself in broth..... :O
I've learned to smile politely and move away quickly from most of those sorts of pet store instant experts. Unless I'm pretty sure it's an employee with real experience or I'm in a specialty reptile store, I tend to not take their advice.

yeah I pretty much did the same thing, acted dumb, smiled and said thanks. I'll give it a try. :rolleye2:

Now, I've heard of soaking the rat in chicken broth for scenting purposes, but balls are not known for being big bird eaters and I doubt that it would be very beneficial. This is more for burms or arboreals that are noted for feeding on birds in the wild.

pedialyte or gatoraid? that's a new one for me, but I guess it does make sense. I'll keep that in mind. thanx.

LOL... I'll just keep THAT pot in a separate cabinet :D

Back in the late 90s there was a show on Discovery that was an hour long special about breeding and raising different snakes. It was a husband and wife team ( SK? VPI?) honestly I remember it vaguely. Anyways, they would dip the f/t rats heads in chicken broth to get a scent.
