    Sorry, just saw this. Honestly? I wanted him to be let go anyway. But I think it really speaks to his lack of character that he quit in the manner that he did.

    He called a staff meeting that lasted all of 10 seconds to say "just thought I'd let you know I'm resigning - thanks!" and walked out. Called Arthur Blank - didn't give him the decency of a face to face and left a letter for the players.

    When Warrick Dunn is willing to speak out against you with his reaction, that's saying something - one of the most moral and upstanding guys on the team.

    From what I've read, this is Petrino's modis operandi.

    I say good riddance! What doesn't kill us makes us stronger. I'm still a Falcons fan through and through.

    Tell me about it - he told his players after their loss on Monday night that they all needed to take a hard look in the mirror to determine what they were made of and come back ready to work on Wednesday. Guess he figured he was made of silly putty. :cool:
