Ah yes, letters from old Camp Hiss-n-Slither....=)

Re: Letters Home from Camp (for Lynn)
LOL Sorry Lynn I promise to have a new digi cam (might be a cheapo though) in a couple of weeks. I've been lax on the letters as ole Activities Director Jo has been slammed lately with volunteering at the school library and the start of the Cub Scout season. I promise I'll sit down with Morgaine tonight and dictate her slithery thoughts for you. Check back later! :)

Totally understand being busy... this has been the week from you know where for me! Ugh, so glad it's Friday!
Can't wait for letters... happy dance :carrot:
Thanks Jo!

Re: Letters Home from Camp (for Lynn)
Dear Mommy Lynn,
This has been a fun week at camp. I learned to squeeze my dinner MUCH faster and I'm working on my Rat Eater badge like the good little snake I am. I eyeballed that little ole rattie and nailed it right away (didn't even wait for the humans to put on my cover like usual). Everyone did a happy dance...they are silly around here. *burp* I'm working on my snake stare next :weirdface I figure that'll really scare them :rat: !!!
I like my little blue hide but I really like to just lay around, flick my tongue and watch things so I don't go in my hide so much as those scaredy snake ball pythons do. I don't mind so much when the humans handle me. I don't hiss or nip but I'm still little and get scared easily if it's too busy at Camp.
What's "Grey's Anatomy"? Director Jo won't play with any of us when that's on! Must be something really special! I don't think a snake would like McDreamy so much. Maybe McRattie would be better?
Hissy kisses,
Morgaine

Re: Letters Home from Camp (for Lynn)
Dear Morgaine,
I'm so proud of you! I told you there wasn't anything to be afraid of when hugging rats! And don't call people silly, hun... I probably would have been dancing around, too.
Your mom's been working hard at getting your new home done. I spent most of the day today finishing up the sanding. I can put the finishing on it soon. I also ordered you some nice, warm flexwatt, and a brand new tub... while I'm really glad you're having such a great time at camp, I really can't wait for you to come home! And things are slowly but surely coming together!
Anyway, continue to be a good little snake for Activities Director Jo... no nipping and no hissing. There's no reason to be afraid, she's very nice :)
Oh, and tell Director Mike that you want to watch the OSU game this evening. Maybe you'll like that better than McDreamy (who is definitely dreamy but a little old for your little snakey rear-end). Take care... and remember to tell Jo and Mike thank you for taking care of you so well!

Re: Letters Home from Camp (for Lynn)
People are going to think we're nuts Lynn, but I don't care. It's a fun way to keep you connected to your sweet little snake while she's here with us. :)
Her feeding this week was amazing Lynn. I bumped her up slightly on prey size since she wasn't gaining as I would have expected on the fuzzie rats. Last week she wouldn't consider a large fuzzie/very small pup but this week she nailed it six ways to Sunday (last week we bumped her back down to the fuzzie so she did still eat). This week as soon as we introduced her prey into her enclosure she was rearing right up, ready to go immediately. Normally she won't start the hunt until we cover her enclosure, this week she flew over like the wind, nailed her dinner and was in full coil before I had a chance to get her tub cover on! Somebody's losing the shy hunter attitude me thinks LOL.
Her temperment for a baby seems very laid back. She's very nice to handle, inquisitive, pretty typical boa attitude (what's this? let me tongue flick it! oh what's this? flick..flick..flick). We aren't handling her a lot as she's still small and I like to see them a certain weight before I do much hands on stuff with them. Right now it's all about making sure she's eating, gaining, pooping and shedding - which she's doing quite nicely at over all. Her shed with us was complete and she managed it easily with no muss or fuss or anything left stuck on her.
You're going to love this little lady, Lynn. She's a very sweet little thing that I'm sure will grow into a big, gorgeous female for you. :)

Re: Letters Home from Camp (for Lynn)
Dear Morgaine,
Why don't you write more often? I got a very nice letter from Activites Director Jo saying you were doing very well at camp... I'm so proud of you! She said you are a very good little boa, and that you're starting to eat your rats much better... you need to grow up big and strong!
I brought home a new friend for you! His name is Gwydion and he's very shy. When you come home you must promise to be nice to him... maybe you can teach him that big human people aren't going to hurt him.
Here is a picture for you:

Take care baby Morgaine! Momma thinks of you often and hopes you can come home soon! Tell Camp Directors Mike and Jo thank you for taking such good care of you...

Re: Letters Home from Camp (for Lynn)
Dear Momma Lynn,
so sorry I haven't written home lately. I've been so busy growing and learning to be a nice mannered snake when the humans take me out. When I come out to watch tv (what's "tv"????) I'm very nice and don't hiss or bite or poop on anybody! I got the "Most Mannerly Pooper" award this week at Camp.
I'm a really good hunter now so I also got the "Most Improved Striker" award! Neener neener...take that baby BP's! This week I even tried to bite my tub three times cuz I was so excited about that nice smelly baby rat that was coming for me. I love my rats! I want my rats! That Jo is too slow sometimes for me! I'm not a shy :snake: any more RAWWWWRRRRRRR!.
Activities Director Jo just shook her head, grinned and said "little snakes shouldn't smack their tub three times". Pfffft on her! I wanted my rat! I snarfed it right down too *burp* and it was the biggest one yet.
Well I have to go now and climb in my little blue hide and go to sleep. My belly is full, life at Camp Hiss ~n~ Slither is fun but I know when I come home to you will be even...funner!
Snakey hugs and snakey kisses,
Morgaine
P.S. That boy snake is pretty cute...for a boy that is. I'm not sharing my rats wiff him though! They are all MINE!

Re: Letters Home from Camp (for Lynn)
Aww, Jo, I missed this post! I've been in Orlando for the last couple of days on business (and am really freaking happy to be home, let me tell you! LOOooong couple of days  ).
So glad to hear Morgaine's doing so well... of course, with camp directors like you and Mike, that's only to be expected.
I haven't want to say too much yet... but I might be getting a place of my own the middle of next month! I got a very good deal on an apartment, but I have to sign on Nov. 15th. It's crunching the time line a bit, but I'm going to try for it! Here's hoping... so I can bring my kids home! :D
As always, thanks so much to Jo and Mike for doing an excellent job taking care of my little for the interim!
