Is my ball python hungry?

I just weighed him again and he is now 171 grams empty... He is putting those rats to good use! I feed him again on Sunday. He usually defecates 4 days after he eats.

Don't worry about his weight vs age, it's typical for breeders not to pump their hatchlings full of food, they just feed for maintenance which equals slow growth but perfectly healthy. Most people feed too much and that is actually more unhealthy than feeding too little. Just continue to feed weekly, the breeder was probably only feeding it every other week or possibly even less. If you are feeding the correct size meal they will grow pretty fast on weekly.

Update: I upgraded his hides to medium (And putting around 1/3 of the paper towels into it). And He keeps going in and leaving... I used his other hide to measure and I added a little more space but I don't know if I should put the smaller hides back...
