I like what they look like, and I really enjoy the yellow that comes in later on in life. I could have spent over 1K for a lipstick line with some other recessive or co-dominant trait, but I decided a snake is a snake. I can always buy that more expensive snake later on down the line when they come down in price.
Anyways lets get to the answer to the question I don't see a point in spending more than $500 on a pet. Now if its to breed then I can see myself spending 1k to 2k, otherwise I would just wait until what I want drops in price to sub $500.
Now you ask if its worthit. I think it is. If you can get exactly what you want then it is worth it.
We appear to have identical tastes in snake colours :)

My mare was adopted for cheap from a rescue but her baseline monthly care costs far more than that of even a very hungry snake... and let's not talk about the regular vet bills... so I'll happily pay that much upfront for my dream snakes and say "hey, at least I'm not getting more horses!"
(I'm very glad that I don't have kids and don't intend to, so all my spare money can just go to animals instead of a college fund... my wallet hates my hobbies.)
Well ... when I had more spare money all the snakes I desired were expensive but now the market has plummeted in the uk and prices are ridiculously low ... I have no money :(

Totally unique pattern and colouration. .. nothing like it anywhere in the world .. I’d guess .
I still don’t know what the breeder was thinking about when he agreed to sell it to me :)

This is an Imperial Pueblan, which is a Cali king crossed with a Pueblan Milk snake.

I've seen some pretty amazing looking Diamond's for 1000+!!!

The most fascinating and beautiful snake I've seen I just read about yesterday. I think it all comes down to being able to having something truly rare and unique. If anybody ever breeds the Arunachal Pit Vipers (probably a long ways away), they are amazing looking.
