When the shed process starts they kinda lose their colouration ( apart from Albinos and/or white snakes ) plus their eyes go blue / creamy - then after a few days their colour returns and eyes go clear BUT they won't actually shed the skin for another 2 to 5 or more days . .

At the first stage ( blue eyes and faded colour) - ensure you spray well once a day until you notice the colour returning/ eyes clear and then start misting/spraying two or three times each day until find the skin in a rolled up messy lump in one of the hides .. spray morning , after work and evening.

Awesome! Thanks for taking the time to explain. It's much appreciated.

Totally agree! The tougher netting used in outdoor gardens is known for snakes getting stuck in & dying (they cannot back out because their directional scales catch)
& while the lighter netting you have around the moss might tear a larger hole for a persistent snake, I wouldn't take a chance, snakes could get stuck or injured.

Just don’t want to see something bad happen, that’s all. Very glad you caught it in time. Would hate to see what could happen if the little guy got determined to push through it or got entangled. Peace ✌️

Not all snakes will use a humid hide, so you will probably also want to mist heavily a few times per day once the eyes clear, as advised a few posts back. :)

Absolutely. I completely agree. It's crazy just how much misinformation there is out there that'll steer you completely wrong, which could sadly result in an unfortunate incident.

No problem. Thank YOU for sharing your concern with me.

Got it. I do have a new bottle of "Tropical Mist" I'll be using. Thanks!
