    Is night time a better feeding time? What if he is out and about already, is it till okay to put the mouse in there?

    It'll be a live rat so I hope he will see it lol. Just didn't know if it was okay to drop a live rat in there if he was out and about moving around. Looking forward to feeding time!

    That's the best time to feed. When he's vigilant. Just watch and make sure the rat doesn't attack him.

    They can also see in the dark due to heat pits. All nocturnal snakes can see the heat signature from living prey.
