Whoa there I was simply quoting reptile experts lol..... "But with Green Trees, it is really nice to have such a clear cut method to confirm your sex without harassing your snake."

Relax, I put it in quotes because I was quoting what someone else said. I never said we never handle them I just said we don't handle them often. Some of them do not like being handled as it stresses them out. And a few of them CANNOT be handled...without the use of gloves and its not a happy event. ;)

I don't care if a owner handles their collection or not. I just don't think I would call it harassing. Even probing does not seem to have a felt effect on them. The ones I have probed really don't seem like they even know it is going on. I would be cautious about a EXPERT that refers to this as harassing.

I was just stating my opinion, I'm not upset with anybody.

Some green trees do absolutely fine with handling, they do not all deserve the rep as being for looking only. As long as the keeper fully understands how delicate they can be, and not to force the snake to interact it can be good. Mine will come onto my hand and allow me to take him out from time to time, and I'll interact with it on a weekly basis to try and keep it calmer. But its completely different than just grabbing a giant retic, or picking up a ball. That is the point many people do not understand which can result in tail damage . . .

So I didn't think to check until a couple days after he shed. But then I remembered this thread, and went looking for sperm plugs. The shed was already dried out, so these were the best pics I could get. They are also only phone shots. But I believe we have confirmation Epic is male!
