so on the combined exo terra one the probe will measure temp
and the sticky thing will stick on the side of the tank and measure humidty?
That is usually how it works.

I have a number of the exoterras I found them better than the three accurites I owned. They are super easy just pull the plastic tab that keeps the battery from making contact and place the probe where you want it. Done. The only issue is try not to crunch the cord to the prob. IMO they are much better than accurites, many time more accurate.
The cabled accurite is actually discontinued and not they only have wireless units now.
