We have only recently switched to using those tubs. The animals that are in that rack stay in them 24/7. the one thing I have noticed is that that rack has a much higher feeding response than they once did. It seems that the darker tubs really seem to help with both their eating and security. As for where we get them we buy them from an online restaurant supply store.

It was once thought that Ball's were queuing off of the length of the day time to tell them when breeding season arrives. In the last few years we are learning that they may be tuning in to things amount of rain fall and changes in the barometric pressure to tell them its time to breed. This is why some breeders will make sure to pair animals during or before rain or weather systems.

Judy is right I have noticed that with animals that seem to get more light in their tubs than others seem to be less enthusiastic feeders and much slower breeders.

I'm gonna have 2 normals and a granite ready to go this year.:(
Males are a pastel, spider, and possible granite:(
Dont know if I should rotate all 3 around or shoot for a super granite and keep those two exclusive to prove them both out:weirdface
I don't see a wrong decision. Pair them up mix them up see what happens.. remember it's supposed to be fun.. Remember FUN!

You KNOW I love that lesser, Ed! Of course, I have her sister, and she still takes my breath away when I take her out.
