You need to go back and look at the paperwork that you signed when Fed-Ex approved you to ship Live Harmless reptiles, you waved allot of the stuff that normal Fed-Ex customers get..Like if it dies in transit they aren't responsible even if you insure the package. Guaranteed delivery time is another one of those things in the service waver if memory serves. Also they have the right to reject your approved status without notice at any time..Check into that before you go making a bunch of noise..

While I can understand your frustration 20 minutes past 10:30 for a properly packaged animal isn't a big deal..Even a few hours. The time to worry is like when it's stuck in Knoxville with 2 feet of snow on the ground and the delivery time is estimated at 4 days...that's when you start burning up the phone's.. LOL

Extremely good points. However, it would be nice if a shipper would stand by their own policies. I know, at this point we can't be too picky. But like most businesses, they seem to never be held to their own standards.

Ahhhh, good point on the waiver. A light turned on as soon as you mentioned it. Sure enough, its there. Bullet point G. In summary, Fedex can do whatever they want and you can't do anything about it...be happy they're shipping your snakes. LOL

Like I mentioned previously, I could care less about the 15 minutes late. I was taken aback by the erroneous time entry. The fact that he entered it as 10:29 struck me as odd and then I started researching. The snake was delivered, services were rendered, everyone was happy. Hakuna matata.

While I agree.. I can also understand their point of view applying everyday standard shipping policies to special exceptions is asking a bit much..Fed-Ex is still the only way to ship Live Harmless Reptiles..so pack your animals well, send healthy critters, and hold your breath that's all any of us can do..

Apparently the way to ensure you are standing by your own policies is to make sure that you can manipulate the data to support them as necessary. ;)

Oh I see what you're saying..here's what you do. Get all that together and present it to your rep..and express how important proper time stamps are for your records and for your customer guarantee's. Express that the time isn't an issue but the fact that the delivery was scanned as delivered a full (how ever many) minutes before your customer actually got it is a problem for your record keeping .. I'd be kind of put off by that too..it means the driver is falsifying his reports to appear to be on time.

Try this next time request a direct Signature.. It makes the driver get your customers signature by addressee only , and only their signature before they can scan it as delivered..now the down side is they have to be there not just any one can sign for it :gj:
