Hey Kaorte should i use the little suction cup thing that came with my tstat and suction it right next to the acu rite inside the cage? or use hotglue? :P

Keep the thermoSTAT probe outside the enclosure. Keep the thermoMETER probe inside the enclosure

The reason for keeping it outside is if the snake pees on it or knocks it off somehow, it will cause the thermostat to think the UTH isn't getting hot enough and it will start over heating. If it is on the outside, there is no risk of it getting knocked off and causing a temp spike.

Hmm the box says not to let it touch the direct heat source.. is it fine if it does lol?

What brand thermostat is it that it says that? It should be fine to tape it directly to the heat source. I can't imagine it degrading at 93*F...

The probe has to be on the heat source! How can the thermostat control the heat if it can't read it? It should be safe attached to the heat pad!
