Re: What does everyone do for a living?
I have worked for a midwest electric utility for 39 years. Specifically in the electric generation department. I have progressed through being a Control Room Operator to Shift Supervisor to Plant Manager to now a Senior Technical Trainer of electric generation. You might say I keep our CHE's and RHP's going. :)

Marine turned online ESL teacher, here. I love my job, but I am definitely not in it for the money.

Semper Fi! Marine Corps Veteran here too... Now I’m a Facilities Manager M-F. On Saturdays and Sundays, I sell Harleys at a dealership just north of Philly. Last February, I started a little grassroots motivational speaking/positive thinking/community outreach project (mainly on FB and YouTube) called The Warrior Heart. And right after Thanksgiving, I started driving overnights for Uber... I think that’s everything. Lol

I've mentioned this elsewhere but I work alongside autistic / asperger teenagers in a high school - basically just helping in any way possible to get through the nightmare of secondary education... still going strong after 2 years ..

I actually just met and featured a young autistic boy and his mom on The Warrior Heart. Like many in the spectrum, he has and continues to face many challenges, but he has found a home in running track with Special Olympics of New Jersey and enjoys timing himself with the stopwatch. He also has been able to play baseball in the Miracle League of Mercer County. Coincidentally, a support group his mother belongs to is called NJ Autism Warriors. Totally a random and chance meeting, but I’m glad it happened and that I was able to share his story on my page.

Well I'm Aspergers myself so whilst some aspects of my job are easier for me than the others MANY things are harder for me ... that said it's a tremendously rewarding job and certainly beats making money for unappreciative bosses in the finance world ... something I did for my first twenty years or so ...

It’s all about doing what you love! You’re making a positive difference and that’s huge.
