Post when you get your special check.

I thought it would be interesting to see if anyone really gets that special change the economy check :rolleyes: :rolleyes:.They started going out yesterday to direct deposits.So who will be first??

Yeah I'll be one of the last direct deposit checks....they're going by the last 2 digits of your social and I'm 95 :(

I had heard that they were going by the time you filed and if you did direct deposit. If you did both early then you will have yours. If you files soon but not a direct deposit then you will be second and so on.. This is what my aunt says.. She is a IRS agent in Cali.

They moved it up a week - I bet Ed was due to get his May 2nd originally. Check yours next Tuesday.

Did you direct deposit your 2007 return? If you didn't, you'll get a physical check.

I was in the third bracket, but mine is going by snail mail. :(

I am kicking myself now for forgetting my account number when we filed ours:tears:

They are going by my hubby's social so our check will be mailed by the 27th of June. Thank God they aren't going by mine lol

I am kind of glad we aren't getting ours until later though. The less time we have it, the longer it will last.

I just checked my account, and it is in there. I transfered it to my savings for the pied and albino males that I will be purchasing later this year. :cool:

Yeah I want/need mine I have bills due this friday would be nice to have it already.

So did you have to fill out something to claim it?? Im still on my parents insurance so I guess I am still considered a dependent? I think that means I cant get it? Lol would be nice to get free money. Isnt it like $600 or something? I heard people talking about it at work but didnt have time to ask much about it...

If you made over a certain amount and filed federal taxes for the year it is just sent to you. You can look it up on line. Not sure of the link address

Where would I go to find out when I get mine?

See we were both right. It did depend on how you filed and it does go out by SS#.. :gj:

yep they are, i owed money ( LOTS ) and had to mail in a check...so not only do i have to wait but i will be the LAST person to get them...should get mine by the end of July...

at least it cut down on what i owed because they are giving me some back :)

If someone claimed you on their taxes as a dependent you won't get one (which really kinda sucks) My mom still claims me b/c she gets more money back on her taxes and I know she needs it, but that also means that it didn't matter how much I made this year, I'm not able to get the return.

Although I did hear that people that filed dependents with get a certain amount more for each dependent? I'm not sure how accurate that source was though...

the irs site has the way there sending it out posted! i think 21-70something gets there check on the 9th of this month if you chose direct deposit! so good luck

Still haven't gotten mine... last 2 digits are 08 and I got my refund by direct deposit... Not sure why I haven't gotten it. I used there calculator thing and according to it I am supposed to get one! :(

Well mine was $1500, but had to throw in more for the 2 snakes I got.

Something that could be coming into play is that some banks like to hold funds a few days before they release them into the accounts no matter where they come from... just a thought for those of you with early SS digets.
