    single plastic setup please
i have a glass setup right now and everything is fine temp and everything but it is alot of work to keep it that way. I am considering changing to a single plastic tub for my 3 month male python. If you can help explain to me how to setup the proper single plastic i would appreciate it, thank you...

    I'm sorry for bullying you.

But didn't we just ask you to research before posting a new thread? Come on, man, give us better targets to shoot at.

I already answered your question in the other thread, if you had taken the time to read it:

Inside the tub, all you need are a couple of hides, cool side / warm side, and a water bowl. Substrate can be anything you want, but newspaper is very common and easy to take care of.

If you want to use a rack, most come with built in heat that you will want to controll with a T-Stat. For stand alone tubs, you can use a UTH on a T-Stat.

Or, you could use the search function.

Yeah the way Slim has his tub set up is pretty much the optimal/ideal/easiest way to set up a tub. It's a triple whammy.

Setting up a tub isn't lauching the Space Shuttle. Not a lot of moving part, if you know what I mean....and there might be a reason no one is responding to your questions.

yea i did take the time to read it, but you say cool side/warm side. well how do i control the temp is it the same as i do with my glass. uth, and low wattage light? just curious because it seems if you but a uth on plastic it would melt so just not sure how to control heat and humidity in plastic. all the other stuff i'm sure is obvious. water bowl, newspaper, hides, ect. i just want to know how to do climate control in a plastic tub

    Re: single plastic setup please
Most people get some form of UTH, whether it be flexwatt or a zoomed pad, and tape it to the bottom of the tub. Then put the tstat probe on the heating device and tweak it until the bottom of the tub inside is 90-94.

Please tell me what part of "use a UTH and a T-Stat" you didn't understand from my first answer? If you control a UTH with a T-Stat, you won't melt the plastic. Do you think I would give you a solution that would melt your tub? If you use the correct size tub for your BP, and the correct size UTH, you won't have to use a lamp. In a tub, humidity takes care of it's self.

And since it seems you will ask this question again, let me suck the egg for you:
