A true ghost is an axanthic hypo...I couldn't give you an accurate price range, but it would be $1000+.

currently, only the Snakekeeper (dan and colette sutherland) have produced one and i think it is a female but i could be wrong. It had a NSF on it when i saw it but most things are available for the right price. I would imagine they would want 25k for a male. thats what they are asking for the clown pied male.......another Double recessive project that just got produced this year.

for a 1.3 group of PossDblHets TSK was asking $2000...honestly, you might be better off trying to make your own. It'll take some years, but would be more gratifying and probably somewhat cheaper.

How old was the 1.3? Considering that a Nice Hypo runs about $400 for a male (again a NICE Hypo) and a nice Axanthic girl runs about $600-800, depending on the line, and when you factor in cost of ownership, care, potential vet bills, and overall time, it isn't any cheaper.

They looked like juvies...just checked and on 1/06 one of them was 148 g. You gotta think though...these are possible dbl hets. they might not even prove. I think I would, even in the long run if it cost a little bit more, make my own and be sure. I know you're all against people breeding their own snakes to make the combo morphs that they want to, but most people like that idea.

i like the idea of breeding my own combos. i have a few projects that need tied up and im going to throw a fem ghost into the picture so i can eventually make the axanthic ghost combo.

anyhow whats the opinions on what ghost would mix best with a vpi axanthic.

I'm not against it, I just encourage people to put serious thought into it before doing it. People tend to over simplify the entire process.

As far as best axanthic goes, in my opinion I think the VPI Axanthic would make some really nice ones.
