Cal and Ki get their tubs!
I finally finished poking holes in the tubs( I tried drilling and it cracked Ki's tub so I fixed the crack and poked the rest with a soldering iron) so Cal and Ki are exploring their new homes as I type! Kyros Looks right at home and Calypso has figured out her new hide boxes. I use fake plants because Cal and Ki freak if there isn't some in there. Ki especially loves his plants, take them out and he is one nasty peice of work. For sub hides I use old tissue boxes with fabric flaps over the door for extra security and they LOVE them! I took a pic of one of Cal's hides! Isnt it cute?! Pretty little hides for my pretty little princess! and of course Ki got his Coke hide! Just one question though... Should I put something between my UTH and the tub? I personally think that its ok to sit right on the UTH since I have a thermostat.

    Hidebox fit for Princess Calypso!

Very clever. :) It looks really nice and I love the idea of hanging fabric over the opening. I would worry about the staples, though. Don't know how active your snakes are, but mine would rub all over that, crush the cardboard, and probably snag their belly scales on the staples. I would suggest using a hot glue gun. You can get them for pretty cheap, and they have a thousand uses. Making snake decor is only one of them. -lol- Once it's dry, it's hard and smooth to the touch. You have to let it dry completely though because when they say "hot glue" they really mean it.

Oh! I already thought of that and put some hot glue over the staple just in case:D

Looks way better than my tub setups! LOL Nicely done, and the UTH directly on the tub is fine with a thermostat.
