Maybe I should call a snake handler? No wait a second, hold on, I've heard about this before. Something about the Florida Everglades, Burmese Pythons, and the impending destruction of all mankind.

Hi Sir, I'm an office of the law. It is my duty to serve and protect. Also, to kill reptiles. I have just unloaded 45 rounds into the snake's skull and then set the corpse aflame, chanting ancient voodoo rituals in the process. Also, I found a bag of pot on the ride of road. We're assuming it belonged to the snake.

All I can say is.. THANK YOU OFFICER FOR SAVING THE WORLD!

I hate to side with the cop, but is it really wrong of him to put it down after it has been run over several times? horses and dogs and cats all get put down when we think there is too much pain for them to handle. I'm not saying the cop has abundant knowledge of herps, all I'm saying is that the guy who ran it over was doing something wrong.

It really pains me to hear when people talk about hurting snakes, even people I know tell me about their encounters with snakes that make me cringe.
