rubbermaid questions

hi well im going to be useing a rubbermaid container for the yellow anaconda im gonna get and i have some quesions ?
i think the humidity would be fine but what bout the heat ?
i heard you can put a heat pad on the bottom but wouldent the plastic get to got and melt i want to put a light but how do i do that without the top?

Im going to advise against the anaconda, they are snakes for the highly experienced herper who has had many many snakes before. They are not like ball pythons and need a large amount of room. heres a good care sheet on them.

ok i respect your opinion but this isnt going to be my first snake i actually have experience with big snake's and small ones . and yea i know how big yellow condas grow and the facts i guess this wasent really a good place to put this tread w/e

To answer your question, as long as the UTH/Heat Pad is regulated with a thermostat, rheostat/dimmer, you should be fine and not have to deal with it melting. As for putting a light up top of it you can use one of those clamp lamp light holders. It's looks like a large garden stake with a hook on it to hold the clamp lamp. There's other ways to go about it...

I am going to throw in my two cents. I have a hard time understanding why someone that whats a snake, or any creature for that matter that gets to be 10+ feet in length would then want it crammed rubbermaid/sterlite/storage container. If I had
were to get something that big, I'd give it it's own room or room size enclosure. But that's just me.

no it is misunderstood i was saying for a baby 2 ft yellow or green anaconda not a 10 ft snake i was wondering cuz thats going to be its temperary enclosure untill it get's like 4 ft and that rubbermaid container looks like a 30 gall tank soo i will have no problem for when it gets bigger i will give it a 8 ft vision tank
