Weird bp behavior!

I just fed buddy about 20 minutes ago. It took him awhile to strike at his food but eventually he got it, wrapped around it and went in his hide, so I figured I'd leave him alone. I returned about 2-3 minutes later and he was outside of his hide, and about 3 inches of his head and neck were in the air swallowing the F/T. This is when It got weird. He started shaking not too violently but still disturbingly. The F/T was already down his throat and he was readjusting his jaws. That's when he randomly turned around and stared at me for few seconds before striking at the front glass as if trying to get another F/T, followed by immediately returning to his hide.

What can I make of this? Right before I fed him, I removed him from his hide and my hand moved right by his head and he was totally unnerved by that. So I doubt he tried to strike at me. I just figured he struck at his own reflection perhaps?

Babies don't have too much muscle control when they're younger (by the size, I'd say he's still pretty young). Mine used to shake when they were struggling to get their food down... it does look kind of weird, but it's normal. As he grows and gets stronger and developes more muscular control (through handling) he won't "shake" so much.

As far as the striking... sometimes younger ones do that because they're in feeding mode. They sense heat and/or movement and strike. Sometimes mine strike out at the CHE as I take them out for feeding. I wouldn't worry about it.
