    Is my ball python underweight
I got a ball python about 3 months ago at pet smart they said they didn’t know how old he was but said less than a year. I’m assuming he was less than a month because he was pretty tiny. He’s still small but he eats great. I’ve been feeding him every 5 days. Started with mice but swiped to rats about 3 weeks ago because I heard they were healthier. However I just weighed him for the first time (didn’t have a scale until now) and he only weighs 84g. I feel like something is wrong but he isn’t dehydrated and he’s eating just fine. Could there be something else wrong?

Can you post pictures that show his body structure?

Under/over weight is found by the body structure more so than a simple weight.
Some babies start slow, don't feed right away and/or are kept on smaller size prey which means they don't get as large as other similar babies of the same age. Some people feed every 7-10 days, some every 5. Prey size and feeding frequency all influence the size. You cannot tell the age of a BP by it's weight. Slow starters should still reach a normal adult size and weight, just takes a little longer.
    Good luck!

There are several ways to share pictures. Many members, myself included, use the free app tapatalk. You can upload instantly from your phone
