Broken shed help

My son got a 4m old BP weeks ago and it's his first snake. He just went through his first shed with us and unfortunately it was a bad shed. I have since changed the bedding to Eco earth and Forest Floor from Aspen as he was dry and wrinkly. I have been soaking him every day and finally got the temps right in his cage.
The snake and I together were able to get majority of it off however he has his entire head/eye caps and a small part on his neck that we are having trouble getting off. I have been soaking him everynight and we make sure his cage is at 70 percent humidity.
I have read articles, read this forum and watched videos. I soak him every night.
Should I keep trying to get the shed off or will he do it eventually?

I think at this point I would just make his husbandry is correct and keep the humidity up and let him get it on his own. Stuck shed on the head can be pretty hard to get off and the eye caps are to dangerous to try to get off on your own. they will come off with his next shed anyways. As for the soaking I would stop soaking him every night. While soaking can help to hydrate them and loosen the skin so they can get it off it is also very stressful and can sometimes do more harm then good

Thank you for the reply. I will definitely leave him be then. Tomorrow is feeding day anyway so we try not to bother him on feeding day or 2 days after. Hopefully he can work it off himself in the mean time.
I will continue to mist his cage to keep the humidty up. Our temps just dropped where we live so the ambient heat dropped as well. I added a infrared light for night time but may have to add a ceramic too until our temps go back up. His hotspot under his hide above the UTH is 88. Anything else I can do to assist him getting it off on his own please let me know.

Yeah I would get that hot spot temp up if you can. How are your ambient temps and do you have your UTH regulated by a thermostat?

As for the feeding as long as he has a good body mass you may want to skip this feeding. I doubt he will take the food anyways with all this shed trouble and he might be better off not having to deal will the stress of eating and digesting at the same time. One missed meal won’t do him any harm :P Other then that just keep the humidity up and make sure he has a bowl big enough to soak in

To be honest , just one 25 minute soak plus the wet textured towel trick generally suffices in most cases ..

I'd spray the enclosure a few times each day until all is well .

Then , no sooner than two days AFTER he's fed , you could try the ' wet towel trick' ...

Yes I have a Thermostat regultaing the UTH which is at 86 right now. Ambient temps were low around 75 due to the sudden winter we decided to have here in Nevada. It was seriously 80 degrees one day the 45 the next. So I bought an infrared light for night time temps. I just checked on him and honestly this is the most I have seen him out. He usually is still hiding in his warm hide this time of night. So i think we finally may have mastered the temperatures.

Good you wanna keep those ambient temps around 80 but never let them fall below 75. As for the hot spot you’ll need to turn up the thermostat, you’ll want a hot spot of around 91 so set your thermostat at about 93 or so, so that on top of the substrate will be 91. Other then that it sounds good
