Is he still moving around and responding to stuff OK? (Other than eating) That looks deep enough to cause neurological damage. There are lots of really knowledgeable people on here, I'm sure someone will be able to help you out. Good luck!

In my honest opinion, that looks like something you need to address with a vet. Like taylor said, sterilize his hab and triple check for anything sharp that may have caused it and then take him to see a professional who can help you figure out what that is or what caused it and treat it properly.
