Although I do know another dead animal stink that is completely unlike my experiences with rats. That was like a strong mold, liquified meat, fermented flesh, vomit smell. That actually caused a lot of mental and ol'factory distress
This too was a 3 day semi digested small rat but I had the joy of it being on my heat tape and thus being maintained at a nice 90° temperature for several hours to enhance the aroma
