What do you mean by crack in the skin do you mean the layer that is about to shed is dry and will come off in pieces or do you mean the layer underneath is splitting exposing flesh.
If it's the first one you need to adress humidity, and afterward if the shed is not coming off complitely you will need to address that.

I mean the skin that is about to come off is cracked. It is tiny, but still a little noticeable. I've had humidity between 50 and 70 percent during her entire cycle, so I see no reason why that would be the issue

What type of hygrometer are you using?
