How many females to a male
Hello all,
I am new here, getting back into Python breeding after a 15yr hiatus (used to breed Retics). I am sticking to Ball morphs this time to show the kids what Mom and Dad used to do, but with needing less pigs to feed the stock, Hahahha! I am curious, would breeding 1 male to 3 females per season be pushing it or is it possible. I want to keep my adult stock low(ish) but I am stoked to produce some hatchlings. Any thoughts or insights would be greatly appreciated.

Anything is possible. Leave the male with a female for 3 days, give him 3 days off. Repeat with a different female. You can do any number within the breeding season you want, it just depends on how many take

1 male to 3 females is comfortable. As mentioned above, it's all about making sure your male stays in good condition by giving him as many off days as he needs.

Right on. Thanks for the info! If I have to leave a female out for a season or I miss one that would be ok too. Fun to be back in it either way!

I ran a first timer this season through 6 females and he sired 45 offsprings.
Awesome! Makes me feel better about running my pastel highway male to 3 females.

You also need to keep in mind that pairing your snake once a month is more than enough, twice if you do not see any type of good signs.
Lots of people overwork their male pairing them too often.
