    Eggs at Day 52 PIC
    Looking good for Day 52???

I candled and all have veins, but I did not see any movement (that worries me a bit).

I'm trying my best not to cut them until day 55... but it is tough!!!

I am also on day 52 with my Banana x Pied eggs and they look the same as your's do. When I candle them 2 of them are very active and the other 2 don't move much. I can also see the dark dorsal patterning on the 2 active one's which is pretty neat but also means they not Banana's unfortunately

They look great! Don't worry too much, most of mine don't do a lot of moving either :-)

IMO, I wouldn't even cut at all. What about the risks of cutting? You waited 55 days, be cautious and wait a few more until they pip on their own. Banana pieds is a very expensive clutch. At least a potential expensive clutch with the hets. I would wait. :) Good luck! Eggs look great btw.

Looking good. If you're going to cut, I'd wait until the first pipper, then cut the rest.

I hear ya, and appreciate the advice.
At 55 days I think it's very safe to cut and it greatly reduces (eliminates?) the risk of them not being able to get out of the egg and dying inside.

    Lots of folks cut.
    Lots of folks don't cut.

It's the same pairing that produced this last year... Its a long long long shot, but I'm hoping to hit the odds again! :)
