    thats definitively a nice high-white sugar :D

its the same gene.... or at least if there is re-labeling going on the distinction will become meaningless.

To me, calico usually is darker and dirtier like the one pictured. Sugar tends to be brighter over all, not necessarily more or brighter white. Cleaner.

i think the one in the picture is just perfect :)

about calico/sugar.... i suspect many breeders that either have both or that consider it to be the same gene will view it as a marketing decision. how will it sell best and for the most: when i label it calico, sugar, or simply sugar/calico? and once there is some re-labeling going on, no one will ever sort it out again. it will be like lesser/butter.

as long as its as nice as this one, then i dont care about the label anyway ^^

Actually, a lot of people want to know the specific line it comes from when dealing with the genes. I'm partial to the VPI line if sugars.

    So, it does matter.

I think it still matters to a lot of folks, but I am not one of them. This girl is a Bubble Gum Calico, to be exact, but what she looks like made me buy her, not any line.

With that said, it is already out there that folks will re-label a Calico as Sugar to sell it for a few bucks more. The fact they can easily get away with is says a lot.

IMO Sugar vs Calico does not pass the 10 snake test. If someone put 5 Sugars and 5 Calicos in a bucket, it would be near impossible for another person to then correctly separate them. Extrapolate that to Sugar/Calico combos and it would get even more impossible. This makes me believe they are the same mutation, different label. Just like Butter/Lesser, Banana/Coral Glow, etc...

That girl is butt ugly and should never be added to your collection EVER, she will not mix with anything you have either.

PM me for shipping information so you can send her my way, I'm use to ugly snakes and know how to handle them. ;)

Always admired her. So freaking gorgeous. I love her high white, bright rim of yellow, and then the smudging of yellow and black between her chain of alien heads.
