The Largest Snake in the World Has Invaded the United States.
    http://www.slate.com/blogs/wild_thin...s_invaded.html

Now media reporters decide to say "Oh, Burmese pythons aren't that bad as we originally said they were, but check out these anacondas!"

"The Burmese pythons have become a well-publicized problem, but once I got down there and started spending time with the fishermen, bikers, reformed gator poachers, tour guides, smugglers, and biologists who inhabit the sparsely populated southern Glades, I found that the situation wasn’t everything it was made out to be on the evening news" So lets write another article about anacondas blowing it out of proportion.

I also like the "as big around as a hula hoop" quote.

What's stupid about this article is that it's just speculation and one supposed WC anaconda- who's dead. Then this retard comes along and reports it as fact. What he doesn't apparently know is how toxic Everglades water is and how it's becoming sludge. Turtles have actually been found dead due to the toxicity of the water. And he thinks a giant jungle snake can live in that? Also, what are the odds of a giant anaconda surviving the winter there? It needs even more warmth than a Burm.

It's absolutely rediculous what the media can get away with publishing without any hard data to back it up. As long as someone reads it and it gets attentnion they will publish, and the majority of people will take it as gospel.

That was a very well thought out response and provided more factual evidence than the article did haha

"Like a great green and black snake as big around as a Hula Hoop, gliding slowly and smoothly past you through the dark water, so close you could almost touch it."

"...they caught sight of a strange green snake big enough to swallow a Great Dane."

Well that sounds impressive. I'd like to see a picture of this snake.
