    Coolest feeding experience ever!
This was the first time I've gotten him to eat for me since I've gotten him and I have to say it was pretty spectacular!
He was hiding in his substrate, which is pretty deep so that was part of the problem with feeding him. I think he'd get stressed from me trying to dig him out. So I was going to feed him in a separate container, but I had him out and in my hand on top of his tub and offered him the mouse. He was pretty interested so I didn't want to interrupt him in case he decided he was hungry.
YEP! He took the mouse from my tongs without even striking at it. Which was kinda surprising! He kinda just opened his mouth and inhaled the damn thing. I've heard that they are fast eaters, but wow! I'm pretty sure it took him under 30 seconds.
AND he didn't musk on me. Win-Win!

Woo hoo! Congrats! How funny that, of all things, he took it that way!

That is too cool!!! I've had one experience of one of my baby boas taking a mouse hopper while she was in my hands and I'll never forget it! I haven't worked up the nerve to deliberately try it again, lol.

So amazing that such a snake would take it that way. I've heard that sunbeams can be somewhat difficult to manage / feed in captivity. I mean, it doesn't surprise me that my boa did that and I've heard of other boas or baby retics doing that, but I wouldn't have thought a sunbeam would! What a neat experience!

And she's a GORGEOUS animal! Thank you for sharing the pictures - she really is just lovely!:bow::bow:

Edit: If I may ask, where did you get this snake? Sunbeams are on my long-term wish list, lol.... ;)

Thanks, I've seen some people feeding their babies when they were in their hands online before but didn't think I would experience it for myself.
It was over in a flash though! Haha, super fast eater.

I got him from Underground Reptiles, but I had an iffy experience with them. He came to me with blisters and they argued with me over the phone that I didn't receive the one that they sent pictures of. Tried saying that the snake they sent looked perfect, and then tried to say that the blisters were scars since they were wild caught. Well those two statements dont exactly match each other.
    Haha.

    Thanks everyone. :)

I was a little worried about his lack of appetite, but lets hope he's on the right track.
