Vivarium Hazard?

If you are referencing the heat lamp, yes that is a problem. Your snake will for sure, try and touch it.

You need to get or make a bulb cover (not sure where to find one, see them all the time with keepers in the UK) because that bulb will burn your snake if it touches it. Also, is that the only heat source for the tank, or are you running a UTH as well. It would be a bit of work, but you could change the setup so that a UTH (on a thermostat of course) provides the hot spot, and a fluorescent light provides ambient temps and viewing light. This way you wouldn't lose as much humidity because of the bulb.

I would make sure to cover up that bulb, and if you have a second heat source I would unplug the bulb. Hope this helps,

That bulb is my first thought.. Mine strikes at the CHE I have every time she gets the chance..

2nd is that temp or humidity guage in the top right corner...

Gauges should be at snake level as the temp is going to be warmer up there then the floor..

Its a humidity gauge mate

Looks like i need a protector for my lamp then.. ha

I dont really have funds to swap a whole heating system out
It gets quite cool in my bedroom as i live in england so i feel the bulb is good to get ambient temperatures up
