Is this a behavior I should be worried about?

Sorry for the graininess of the pic I had to take them with my photo from a distance. She has been doing this a lot. What you see in the picture. Not only in the middle of the tank, but also out of her hid. She looks like a turtle stretching is neck from it's shell when she does it from her hid. She has been skittish lately as well. When she was doing this earlier tonight my neighbor walked by the window that had curtains open, and she put it into turbo reverse to get back in to her hid. What do you think is going on?

I was just curious. I have had BP's in the past but that was about 15+ years ago. So only some of the info I learned then retained. I am going back into this as a newbie. My pastel did it for a while, but now he just camps out in his hid. I just don't remember my others doing it back in the day

    Nothing wrong with that !!!

The only thing I can think of is the lay out of her Hide :)

Ohh okay cool. Glad to see you're getting back into it :)
Yeah mine kinda scared me when she first periscoped. No worries though.

It's only dangerous because you might die of over-exposure to adorable behavior.
