Free standing tub heating question.....
I've been looking in the forums but can't find my answer...
What kind of (and size) under heater should I use for a tub that is 52LX20WX14H? Where should I place the thermostat probe?
Thanks:)
Re: Free standing tub heating question.....
I would recommend using Flexwatt (along with a thermostat). Size really depends on room temperature and what you are keeping in said tub.

I have a thermostat. I have flexwatt for my rack but what size should I use for this tub? My house fluctuates a lot. Anywhere from 68 to 75.

The Flexwatt should cover between 1/3 to 1/2 of the bottom of the tub depending on what your room temperature is. (the colder your room is the more heat tape you will need)
I have one of the thermostats from Reptile basics. They have been great on my rack so figured that would be fine for a tub too. Where is the best place to get the flexwatt (pre wired)?
Re: Free standing tub heating question.....
Either flexwatt or a UTH plugged into a thermostat. I use UTH's on all my boas in their 4x2 cages.
