Really stuck eye cap

I have no pics as of yet but i will try my best to describe my situation. I bought a breedable female from kijiji and she was kept in a tank with a screen top and what looked like coco husk or something. After i got her home and looked at her closely she seemed to have eye caps stuck on. Her left eye looks normal appart from some crinklyness but her right eye seems to stick out further and is more crinkly. Have tryed cotton swab with oil, wet pillow case, and gently rubbing tricks. After the pillow case trick an eye cap was in the bag but the eyes looked the same so i fear there are a few on there. Her humidity and temps are perfect as of now. So im wondering if there are any other tricks i can try or if i should take her somewhere. I live in kitchener ontario so if you let me know of any good herp vets around here that would be great. If I were in your shoes, I'd let it be for now. I'd make sure her humidity stays cranked up (she sounds like she's been in a too-dry environment for awhile before you got her)...and give her a chance to get settled into her new home and feel secure. Keep an eye our for her next shed cycle and make sure she has all the humidity she needs, but do NOT soak her prior to the actual shed.

Just being in an environment with the proper humidity may allow her eyes to return to their normal, shiny, unwrinkled appearance. If there are, indeed, multiple stuck caps, she may rub them off herself over time. And if she has a chance to give you a good, clean shed, she'll take them all off at once.

If, after her next shed, her eye is still looking a little bulgy and wonky, then I would recommend seeing a vet. (Sorry, I don't know any to recommend! If you have a local zoo or something of that nature, they may be able to recommend a vet who deals with exotics.)

You can normally see a bit of a lip around the eye of shed skin that's still attached to the cap. If you're not 100% that it's a stuck shed over the eye I suggest waiting until the next shed or taking her to somebody who can offer more informed advice.

Be careful with what you interpret youre seeing, sometimes a little bit of white shows at the edges when theyre looking around it may be the membrane and not a stuck cap. And be especially careful and absolutely certain that it is a stuck eyecap when you are assisting the snake in getting it off (like rubbing it off or with your finger or tape) because you might remove the non retained eyecap which is worse than a retained eyecap to begin with. I recommend just bumping humidity up and letting him get it off on his own so theres no risk of injury, whether its in the next shed or just by rubbing it off.

Many over the years have damaged an eye badly in trying to remove an eye cap. Sometimes it isn't actually what you think it is and they remove the spectacle scale and cause the eye to dry up and be damaged. I'd never remove an eye cap unless there is multiple ones. Correct the husbandry and wait with correct humidity it will shed off the next time.

Wrap tape around your finger and gently try to pull it off.

Or use one of those rubber caps that go on your thumb to count money and gently rub it off
