not sure if this is the right place for this
my sister has 2.0 ball pythons and well come to find out one of them is a female and she started laying eggs this morning and she is set up for eggs at the moment and im trying to figure out we need to do with her and the eggs until i can get a incubator set up and running. right now they are still in a 40 gallon breeder with the male and she is going to bring them to me and i have a extra 28 quart tub that i can put them in just wondering if i need to get some kind of bedding or can i use paper.

You need to put eggs on vermiculite or hatchrite these mediums will hold moisture which is needed for them to incubate.

Re: not sure if this is the right place for this
i am looking into buying a incubator off lllreptile.com has any1 bought one of the LLLReptile Pro MR-148 Incubator and if so what all would i have to buy with it are should i just go with one of the smaller incubators like Thermal Hova Bator Incubator(1602-N) and how many clutches would these hold i tried to call them but they are close

No once the eggs are in a tub away from mom she has no business there.
If you don't have the incubator yet she can maternally incubate the eggs for now unless you already removed her from the eggs.. Just be on top of the humidity in there which could be tough but it has been done plenty of times by other members. Leaving the eggs with Mama gives you time to get ready in these surprise situations.;)

ok she has not been removed from the eggs yet my sister is going to bring her and the eggs to me so i can set them up in a tub by themselves with the momma until i can either buy or build a incubator then i will transfer them over to it or should i just leave them with her since it will be a week or 2 until i can get 1

I would leave her be til you have everything set up right. If this female is just a pet and not a breeder per say you can maternally incubate since you really aren't worried about her recouperation(weight after) for the following breeding season.
Now if you plan on breeding more Bp's in the future you get your bator and start now get some exp.;)

yes i have my own bp 2.2 1 pastel and 3 normals so i will need a bator i just wasnt expecting this one so quick we thought she was a male so my sister had her in a tank with another male since thats all she can have at the moment with room and everything and oops she laid a slug then went like 3 days and out popped 4 and she maybe having atleast 1 more so i told her to bring the momma and eggs to me since i have the room and i have a extra slot on the rack opened i will let her maternally incubate them herself until i can get them a incubator. she is supposed to be a pet and she wasnt supposed to get pregnant but hey what you say the pet store i took her too to get probed said she was a male so im going to get them and atleast i can keep better eyes on them and the temp and humidity.
