    BP Setup issues?
okay I have two 10 gallon glass tanks setup for my BPs I use UTH for both plus I use the lights, I have three thermometers setup in both tanks and double hides I use aspen for sub and moss for in hide hum. I cant get my hum to stay high so i placed and extra water under the heat lamp over the uth. The thing is neither bp ever goes near the hot side of the cage. I thought maybe the cage was too hot an my temps where off but neither BP was restless or agitated. They both were just in chill mode in the cool side of the cage. They never leave the cool side and i guess this seems weird to me. They are also not in BALL mode over there either. Am I okay here or what am I doing wrong?

will also be building a rack this week to house my pending reptile show pickups in LA

I would ditch the lamp and put a towel over the top of the tank. This will help with the humidity but you will still have to spray the tank down at least once per day. Thats just the nature of the beast when using tanks. As far as them hanging in the cool side, it could be too hot on the warm side or they are just more comfortable over there. Make sure your temps are not to high on the warm side. Sounds like that might be a problem. A rack or tubs make a HUGE difference with the husbandry. Good luck!

You shouldn't "think" your temperatures are too high, you should "know" what your temperatures are on both sides of the tank.

What are you taking temps with and what do you control your heat sources with?
Do you have belly heat or is it overhead heat only?

That's great if u have 3 thermometers, you could have 50 in there but that will not control your temps, it will tell you what the temp is but not control it. You need a good thermostat for your heat source so it dosent go too high or too low, a thermostat will do that for you. If you want a good one, get a Herpstat, set it to 90f and you wont have to worry about high or low temps.
