The making of a bumble bee

Hi guys, I am getting a adult male spider this week with plans of breeding him. I have been looking into getting a female pastel. Now I've heard by some that that is the combo for possible bees however by others I've heard you need a Lemon pastel... So which is it? I'd really love to make some bees :) this will be my first time breeding but please don't gives me leactures. I've done two years+ research so I know what i'm getting into. So if anyone who knows please tell me! Or if you know of any other morphs that make something nice when bred with a spider.

Any line of pastel can make Bees with a spider. It doesn't have to be Lemon.

As for other morphs to consider as possible combos... Lessers are probably my favorite combo with the spider. :)

anything in the blue eyed lucy complex, enchi, pastel, those would be my first choices.....

The better the pastel the better the bee!

Lemon or blonde pastels hold ther color better and will be a nicer bee down the line.. but if you have a ugly spider, it won't be good even with a high end pastel.. :)

Define an "ugly spider". Some people like high white sides...some prefer the low white...some people like busy patterns, some like reduced patterns...some like the high gold, and some like darker colors.

In ALL breeding endeavors...to get the best results, one should start with the best parents....but what is considered "best" will vary a great deal from person to person.

Thanks eveyone! I think I'm going to try and get a lemon pastel so the bees will be clean and brighter :)

Also, I'm more partial to the Mojave Bee then to the Lesser Bee....don't know why though....
