help with genetis
i need help, i am trying to get my head round the genetics, amd in the future, once i have got my life sorted out with uni and all that, i want to create a queen be, i now that a queen be consists of patel, spider and lesser
so i thought a bumblebbe x lesser would get me queen be
i tried to work it out using the way u have sugested, and i think i mucked it up, help

i did

x normal spider pastel

normal normal spider pastel

lesser lesser spider lesser
lesser pastel

where has my queen be gone??
what have i done wrong here??

sorry, the gentics thing went rong

it was meant to be like this

x........normal...pastel...spider

normal.normal...pastel...spider

lesser..lesser..lesser pastel..lesser spider

although i have found out what wnet rong
i forgot to add the pastel spider on the bumble bee which would make the queen bee
so it would be like this

x........normal...pastel.........spider.......pastel spider
normal.normal...pastel.........spider.......pastel spider

lesser..lesser..lesser pastel..lesser spider.lesser pastel spider(queen bee)

I you want to know your outcomes when breeding a Bee to a Lesser they would be as followed

12.5%: Normal
12.5%: Lesser
12.5%: Pastel
12.5%: Pastel Lesser
12.5%: Spider
12.5%: Lesser Bee
12.5%: Bumblebee
12.5%: Queen Bee

Those are your odds for each eggs.

I can't really read your punnet the way its typed, but your punnet should look like this

.....PS....PN...SN...NN
L...PSL..PLN.LSN.LNN
N..PSN.PNN.SNN.NNN

1/8 PSL Pastel Spider Lesser aka Queen Bee
1/8 PLN Pastel Lesser
1/8 LSN Lesser Spider aka Lesserbee
1/8 LNN Lesser
1/8 PSN Pastel Spider aka Bumblebee
1/8 PNN Pastel
1/8 SNN Spider
1/8 NNN Normal

thank u, that is what my punnet was meant to look like, it just got very crowded lol
i have a lot to learn about royal genetics as i want to breed lots of royals when i am older, so i have alot to learn lol
what royals do not carry the normal gene?

There isn't really a 'normal' gene. The normal gene would be the lack of a morph. Ie) Normal for Pastel (could still be a Spider). If you are asking which snakes will not produce normals, the only ones that would fall in that catagory are Supers (2 Codom genes bred together) Super Pastel - All babies will have the pastel gene.

ye thats what i meant, what morphs will not produce normals, so any super morph, like super pastel, super cinemon, super mojave etc

you are now correct...

bee x lesser =

...... N.... P.... S... PS
N.... N.... P.... S... PS
L..... L....LP....LS...LPS

Hi,

We do have a table function on the board that will let you make real punnet squares. Here's a post I made after working out how to use it.

If I've messed it up during the learning curve let me know and I'll try and fix it.

And here is the code to do it to save anyone else having the same problems I did;
|PS |Ps |pS |ps
PS |PPSS |PPSs |PpSS |PpSs
Ps |PPSs |PPss |PpSs |Ppss
pS |PpSS |PpSs |ppSS |ppSs
ps |PpSs |Ppss |ppSs |ppss
As you can see my understanding of the genetics isn't as advanced as it should be. :P
