male vs. female
Which sex is generally more aggressive? or is there not really any proof of either being more aggressive?

The only time I've ever seen an especially agressive female was when she was sitting on a clutch of fresh eggs.
IMO, it really depends on the individual snake -- there are always exceptions to the rule, ones that follow them to the T and ones that are in the middle. :)
My best friend's got a pastel male that strikes and hisses at anything that moves. He's been like that since he came out of the egg, and is aptly named "Chompy." :D He's got another pastel male that's as calm as still water.

i like to get a morph of some sort say a bumble bee, then get a female normal ball its cheaper and you can get normal adult female ball pythons cheap! Well good luck!

How old is she? If she's a little young thaang she might grow out of it. :) Some snakes tend to be on the nippy side of the spectrum when they're younger and may or may not grow out of it.
If she's older, and if you're not afraid of being bitten or if you just wear thick long sleeves, you can try and get her to calm down by handling her more often than you would a more tame snake and see if that has a positive effect. Try and let her learn that she can tolerate you because you won't hurt her. If you go down that route, don't put her back in her cage if she tags you because she may learn that biting means home and that's no fun. :)
Good luck with your girl! If she doesn't end up calming down eventually, at least you'll have fun dodging her. You'll have ninja reflexes! :ninja:

My girlfriend tends to be more aggressive than I. At times though, I cannot help but feel partially responsible.

Re: male vs. female
I haven't been around hundreds, or even thousands, of snakes like some people on this forum, but I've yet to see a tendency towards aggression based on sex. Every snake will have it's own "personality," and sometimes that can mean being a little more snippy than others.
