    Sick snake?!? Please help!

I got my little Candino girl in September and got her eating f/t after a couple months. She was eating consistently until February. She has refused meals since then and is currently going through a shed. I tried feeding her again tonight and noticed her mouth (in photos).

Is there anything I can do myself to heal her? I lost my job due to covid and I am not sure I can afford to take her to a vet right now. I'm beside myself. I've never had a BP look like this before.

First, pics will help us to help you: https://ball-pythons.net/forums/show...-Post-Pictures

Snakes don't generally eat while in shed- that's normal- & if I understand you correctly, she "is currently going through a shed", but waiting to see your pics also.

Can you describe what the problem is?

Sorry about your job situation, & if you do decide to see a vet, this might help you find the right one: https://arav.site-ym.com/search/custom.asp?id=3661

If you can show us or explain the problem further, you might not need a vet, but I'm not that good at guessing with so little to go on (hint hint)...

If you do need a vet, talk to them first about your financial situation...you're far from being the only one with financial hardships from the pandemic, & they may try to work with you. Just try, okay?

I tried posting 4 photos in my post but they didn't show up. I woke up this morning to find out she had already passed away. I'm just trying to figure out how to delete my post at this point. 😭

I don't mean to be insensitive here, but I think you should still share the photos you took. The reason I say this is because this had to have been something pretty serious if you just noticed it yesterday and she's gone today. Your unfortunate experience might help another keeper spot the warning signs before it comes to this point. You still haven't really described the issue to us, other than something being wrong with her mouth.

I'm really sorry you lost your snake, but don't let it be in vain. You might be able to help other keepers and snakes out by sharing more about what happened.

I'm very sorry to hear of your loss. I hope you meet again over the Rainbow Bridge, may she rest in peace.

BTW, your posts are here to stay.
