    Sign of impending shed?

    Hello!

I've tried a forum search and I KNOW pink belly can be an indicator of a shed. Is that what this looks Like? Sorry for the poor quality/lighting - where it looks spotty near the end, it's just the photo quality.

It's a faint pink down the middle of his belly. NO way for it to be a burn, I monitor my heat mat like crazy and it is on a Herpestat - it's never gone over 94 directly on the glass to get the hot side substrate to 90.

Just to check... your temp is 94 at the glass?

    to get the substrate 90?

you want the glass 90... 94 is rather high.

Maybe i I read it wrong but didn’t want it to go Unnoticed and you to have an issue later

    Re: Sign of impending shed?

I set the stat to 94, but when I check it obsessively, under the substrate it's never more than 92°! Over the substrate it's 90. But if at risk I can definitely lower It!

Also thanks for the replies! He went blue last night and refused food for the first time so it definitely made sense! Humidity has been constant so fingers crossed for a good first shed!
