I have too many hobbies. In addition to keeping reptiles, racing cars, flying R/C airplanes, and collecting cigars, I also collect high end alcohol, mostly Whisky. Scotch, check! Bourbon, check! Rye, check!
I don't resell my whisky, I just keep filling up space with rare stuff that I like to drink, and share!
Anyway, I am totally sober tonight, but still appreciate this thread. SNAKES ROCK!
I wish I hadn't been sick for 3 weeks or I'd join in with you guys! Plus, with the kidney transplant and all, I can only have a drink or two a day tops, and usually spread that out! I don't remember what it's like to drunk forum post, but it sounds awesome!
When you sober up, you'll have to tell me about it!

Yah...I agree too, snakes are GREAT! My collection, even though small, helps me relax and escape from being nurse all day and just be me! Besides it's much easier to handle my snakes then it is some of the patients I deal with on a daily basis....LOL

even though i started this hobby by impulse purchasing my darling Yellow, it was so easy to fall head over heels for these amazing animals. pythons are by far one of the most fascinating animals on the planet, and i feel so lucky every day to get to own them!!! they're beautiful, strong, SMART in their own way, and it's just amazing to be in their presence. whenever i handle a snake, it's never me just holding one, it's me interacting with them and turning my focus up 100% to be on them, and adjusting everything i'm doing to their needs.
I LOVE THIS COMMUNITY!!! I LOVE THIS HOBBY! IF YOU'RE READING THIS I LOVE YOU TOO!!!!!!!!!!

Some times they drive me nuts. Like when one or more of my ball pythons makes me clean them everyday. One down side to using paper. Or when I'm having a really bad day and come home to find out I have to clean both of my boas enclosures yes both! BUT whenever I open their tubs and see their cute dopey faces it always reminds me why I love my ball pythons. As well when I handle the boas I all ways get reminded on what a privilege it is to handle, own and care for them.
