Missing Scale/Beat Up Scales After Shed

So i just noticed my bp male looks to have damaged himself there are some scales on his back looking beat up and right in the middle of it 1 scale is pink like he rubbed off the top of it but it doesnt bother him for me to touch it he just finished a shed 3 days ago stayed in the first night but came out the 2nd night except it was dark then but i had to light on this time and noticed it is there anything i can do to prevent this happening in the future.
I can post some pics that show it better than i describe it tommorrow and would this warrant a vet visit? cause if so it would have to wait a week or so because we have some extreme cold temps for the rest of this week and im not taking a snake out in -30 celcius

Sounds like he had a bad shed, what humidity was his enclosure at? That can happen when it's too low.

Im not too sure what the humidity was but I was in there every day misting the cage/him every other day except for a few days I missed and he shedded clean nothing stuck but its seems like he rubbed himself too good in that spot

does the pink bit look something like this?

pictures would help us help you better. what you described sort of sounds like what i went through in my post linked above. it just kind of happened, as his humidity was decent (not the best but never dropping below 60%) and i had never had a bad shed with him before.

That looks more like an old burn scar or bite than stuck shed peeling a scale off. Did your snake get bit or burned in the past several months? Do you use a heat lamp or ceramic emitter inside the cage?

Re: Missing Scale/Beat Up Scales After Shed

You said earlier, “not sure what the humidity is” so that’s a red flag to me. If a bite, or burn is ruled out, could be a stuck shed that got ripped off.
