Annoyed...
So, I am pretty annoyed, whoever knows my posting knows I am suppose to get paid today, yes I know I am sounding quite spoiled but I expect to get paid when they say I am....
I paid for a tank that was 70 dollars, they help with with some of it, TWO WEEKS ago.
Now I was suppose to get paid Yesterday, so, I can get the rest of the supplies I need, so, I can either get my snake next week or the week after that, depends. But looks l won't be getting anything, way to go trusting my dad!!! -.-
but anyways there is a question
Currently it is 72F in my room and tank, will a Nano CHE do? (40W) plus a UTH? or will it need to be bigger?

First is your UTH regulated? If not do not use it. Not sure about the wattage on an CHE you will just have to see what the temp is when you get it. I know mine is to warm so I had to get a dimmer to really dial it down. Make sure your husbandry is correct before you bring your snake home.

Re: Annoyed...
what size enclosure do you have? sorry if you've already said before.
i have a 20gal and use a 100w CHE on a rheostat to maintain 80° temps. i don't think you'll need a second UTH and, depending on your enclosure size, you might need something larger than 40W.
in regards to your parents: this is something you'll have to let slide for a bit. i know it'll be hard because i'm sure you're doing your part, but trust me on this one: go with the "kill them with kindness" route: clean daily, stay on top of even THEIR messes. you see your parent set a dirty plate or cup down? immediately take it away. make it IMPOSSIBLE for them to forget what you're doing and why, be borderline annoying with it. that's how i'd handle this, and honestly how i handle some things with my own parents since i live at home.

I do not have anything yet, I am waiting to get money to get the supplies, okay, and of course i'll make sure it is correct.
Thank you for the advice.

It's a 20 gallon and okay I just didn't want it to die or anything, my mom said she'd buy me a bigger one if the 40w didn't work( I'm gonna set up the cage up before getting the bp of course.) but if you say I should get a 100w then i'll talk to her.
Thank you for you're help and advice.

Try not to get too frustrated with your parents. They are bending and allowing you to bring an animal into their home that they really don't want in their home. I certainly see your point, you did your part, they should follow through on what they said. BUT, it is still their house.
When I was young I would have been pretty ticked off too, but as an adult, I see it from both sides.
Keep doing the right things and good things will follow. Just take this time to keep learning and you'll be a great snake keeper when the time comes.

Yeah I'm not sure if the 40 watt will work, a 50 watt didn't even work for me on a 10 gal but I also don't use a uth.
For my 20 gal I have a 100 watt but a 75 watt would also work. For me the 75 watt got the tank at JUST the right temps but I prefer the 100 so I can have it on the dimmer at below its highest power and turn it up if the room temp ever drops for some reason. I hope I explained that in a way that makes sense XD
