    Re: Healthy BP????

Visibly look for dried out scales or poor quality scales (flaky and dry) - with the correct care this can be managed throughout time.

Before purchasing the breeder should have a care sheet I.E Sheds, feedings and general problems that the snake has had have a good look through this and make sure you understand the snakes feeding patterns and problems if any.
Also ask for a precise weight of the snake depending on how old the snake is, the weight differs but people mainly keep there Adult male ball pythons at about 700g to 1000g, if it weights more than that its not really a problem you just have a chunkier snake.

If you are buying off a breeder it is unlikely you will buy a unhealthy or unfit snake as most breeders pride them self on making and caring for these beautiful snakes.

Generally you just need to ask questions to the breeder.

    Hope this helped

health issues can take up to 6 months to show symptoms. breeders usually have a health guarantee but you must always quarantine any new additions from your existing collection since issues can take 6 months to show.

off the bat, the issues outlines above are good indications of only visible issues.
