Red liquid at the back of mouth?

So I just had my girl out. And she "yawned" 3 times in less than 30 seconds. The first time I saw some red liquid at the back of the mouth. Second time, there was still some and she kept her mouth a little open after the yawn (just very little open, like extremely little). The third time there was no more red liquid. After that everything seemed normal, and she didn't yawn again. The liquid didn't come out of her mouth, I guess she swallowed it?

What was it? Why? And how?

no one here is qualified to diagnose a health issue, especially when you provide no pictures to go off of.

I have no pictures because it has only happened once and i didnt get time to take a picture. I think it was blood. I mean it had to be. Does anyone know if that is a sign of an RI or something???

If you think it's an RI, listen for popping noises when he's breathing, look for open mouth breathing, or for discharge from the mouth and nose. I'm not sure what it could be as I didn't see it and there are no pictures (unless it's something obvious, picture evidence is hard to get) but if it's something that's really causing you to worry then take him to a quick check up at the vet. At the very worst, you pay a few dollars to have a professional tell you nothing's wrong and you feel silly for worrying, or if there is something wrong they'll help you fix it
