Hi all From Italy.
I finally decided to adopt my first Ball Python after spending so many time on looking for all kind of care informations and reading everything I could about these animals. Unfortunately you never stop learning, so I decided to join this beautiful forum also.
His name is Biss and he should be 9 moths (looking on CITES document). He is a Pastel Phantom morph male, about 50 cm long and 280 gr heavy, eating 40/60 gr de-frozen rats at the moment.
I decided for a minimal and "sterile" stabulation, in a plastic tank fitting his "baby" dimensions, with paper substrate, nests and water tank.
Temperature is 31,5° C in the warm zone and 28°C in the cold one, 60/65 % umidity. In the exuviation period I raised it to 80% about, allowing him a perfect sloughing (he made it after just 5 days he was with me!).
Everything looks fine at the moment, he did not refuse any meal (every 4/5 days) after his first acclimatization week. I am going to do a faeces exhamination asap.
I hope I can count on you for potential support and my beginner doubts/questions,
Sorry for my English and best regards
Biss
