Can we just talk about Brazilian Rainbow Boas?
My local reptile shop just got one in, and I've been researching these for a while now. I held it and when I went to grab it it bit me! For some odd reason, I usually feel annoyed when a snake bites me, but I actually kinda like it lol (am I weird?). However, it was so beautiful. I couldn't get over his iridescence. So who else is in the verge of getting a BRB? This camper is!

Yes BRB's nip as youngsters. They get over it. I really do love mine.

I have a BRB that is about a year and a half old and over 4 feet long. They are beautiful and I have never had a problem with him. They are also a very smooth scaled snake, very cool feeling. He is also very fast - when he wants down, he can slither down my leg to the floor pretty damn quick - scary sometimes if you're not ready for it!

Amazing snakes who actually show quite a dramatic colour change after dark !!
Plus you can do fantastic things with their set up .. I had great success with BRBs a few years ago .
I had a layer of lush moss growing onto top of a mixed layer of orchid / reptile bark and Eco earth . Never had any issues at all with regards to humidity and both they and the setup looked amazing and of course they were in fantastic health .
Incidentally they didn't have hides as such but stayed under the moss during the day and spent most evening hours on top and in branches ..

I think they are one of the prettiest snakes out there. So distinctive. Especially with a fresh shed.
