    vet visit instead of quarantine?

is a vet visit a substitute for a quarantine? i was just wondering. i've moved and haven't been to the exotics vet around here and wanted to check them out, instead of being forced to go if there was an emergency and i end up dissatisfied. this might be a good opportunity to see the place since i'm getting a new snake in a few weeks, and was wondering if a vet visit could substitute a quarantine so i could knock two birds with one stone, so to speak.

i've only had one snake and i'm not sure if there's anything special i need to do before bringing the second home besides a quarantine. any advice/insight would be appreciative! thanks, all. (:

No a vet visit does not replace proper quarantine as not everything shows right away and I doubt you would want to run test on every possible ailment that could arise.

Re: vet visit instead of quarantine?

I usually do a vet visit and a 90 day quarantine. Vet for a general health and fecal and always quarantine just to be safe

Laziness is nothing more than the habit of resting before you get tired.
