    Should I throw away the last egg(partial dud)?

    Ouch, sorry man. Keep the boob egg if it has veins. There was a good post here a few days ago about using liquid band-aid, and maybe some fungus/mold inhibitor to keep the eggs alive. Good luck hitting your male pastel.

    I have seen much worse looking boob eggs than that hatch. It should be fine. This guy hatched for me last year (the white powder is athletes foot powder to keep the mold away).
    Don't feel too bad. It happens to everyone. This was my het lav to het lav clutch last year. I paid $7000 in 05 for these hets. The one good egg ended up being a poss het male and she did not develop follicles this season. The lavender project has not been kind to me. Good luck on yours.
